Why I priced by cost per 100g, not bottle
Bottle sizes vary wildly (250g, 300g, 500g, 1kg) and brands use small bottle sizes to mask high per-gram cost. The only honest comparison is per 100g. All prices below are MRP from official brand websites / Amazon listings on May 2026.

What to ignore from this ranking: Dabur Honey, Patanjali Honey, Saffola Honey — these are pasteurised commercial honey, frequently failing purity tests, not in the raw category. ~₹50-80/100g but you're paying for sugar syrup blended with honey.

FAQ
Why is Dabur Honey so cheap?
It is pasteurised and (historically) tested as containing rice syrup adulterants. CSE 2010 study and follow-up FSSAI tests in 2020 found multiple major brands failing the C4-marker test. If price is your only metric, pasteurised commercial honey will always win — but it is not the same product as raw honey.
What about Patanjali or Khadi honey?
Mid-tier pasteurised honey. Brand premium is high but the underlying product quality is similar to mass-market commercial honey. Not in the raw category.
Is manuka honey worth the 9x price?

How do I verify a brand is truly raw?

Should I buy 1kg packs for max savings?
Only if you'll use it within 12 months. Raw honey shelf life is technically forever, but flavour and enzyme activity peak in first 12 months. For households <2kg/year, stick to 500g.
